Could I have ovulated later...?

I have a regular 28 day cycle and I have been TTC x 9 months. I'm pretty sure that I usually ovulate around day 14 but this month I had alot of cramping/sharp twinges on my left side at day 18. Possible later ovulation? It lasted an entire day. I BD with my DH regularly starting from the end of my period and extra times before, during, and after I had felt this pain/cramp. Curious what ovulation pain usuallyf feels like.
