Virgin Moble can txt ipod but cant get a reply back?

I have the virgin moble lg roumor touch and i have been trying to txt people from it onto thier ipod. They can get it but when they txt back i cant recieve... ive already tried reprograming and turing it on and off and using the email @yrmoble.com but nothing is coming in please help
