Any way to "reprogram" a remote?

The directv remote controls are not guaranteed to work with all models of televisions. Having said that, you can surely try. If you visit directv.com you can search program remote and find a link there that gives you the steps. The link under my source should guide you directly. There you can search for the brand of your tv and a model number if you have one. You would simply change the little switch at the top of your remote to the right (TV) and press MUTE & SELECT (at the same time until the green light flashes 2 times) enter the code & press PWR - if your tv turns off you got your code. If it does not - move on to the next code. The website missed some steps.
