How long will my ear be swollen after i got my industrial done!?

I got my industrial piercing done about 6 days ago. It was fine the first 3 days but after the fourth day my ear became very swollen and it hurts. I don't know if its really normal and I'm afraid it might be infected. The top whole seems very red and almost purple.
