How to make a smily face ( :) ) on the samsung Alias?

My samsung rogue broke for the 3rd time ystrday so instead of replacing it for 50 dollars(ik im lazy) i reprogrammed ir on my old phone the alias......i just started txtn again and i ***** find the paranthesis to make the smiley:/
